Corporate Philanthropy
Since the onset of the full-scale war, lifecell has been consistently implementing social and charitable initiatives to support Ukraine — its people, civil society, and the Defence Forces. Our corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities focus on several key areas:
SUPPORTING UKRAINIANS THROUGH CONNECTIVITY
- GigaHelp Blood Donation Initiative. Each month, up to 100 blood donors receive a 10 GB bonus from lifecell and DonorUA for every donation of blood or its components — encouraging regular blood donations across Ukraine.
- “Twice the Kind” Connectivity Platform. This platform enables subscribers to pay for mobile services, which lifecell then doubles and transfers to those in need — amplifying the impact of every contribution.
- Mobile Services for Military Personnel. lifecell provides military personnel with dedicated service packages that include additional minutes, mobile data, and SMS.
- “Gigabytes Without Borders” and “Minutes for Ukraine” campaigns offer tailored support to Ukrainians living abroad.
- Support for National Hotlines. lifecell ensures reliable access to essential hotlines, including 116111, 116123, 1551, 1545, 112, 116000, and 527 — providing critical assistance to the population.
- SMS Charity Donations. lifecell has made short codes available for SMS donations: 88009 for the Come Back Alive foundation and 88077 for the Zaporuka foundation. This allows Ukrainians to easily and securely donate via text to support military personnel and seriously ill children.
SUPPORTING THE STATE AND THE ARMED FORCES
- Technical Support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. lifecell supplies military units with vital equipment, communication tools, and other mission-critical resources.
- Contribution to UNITED24. lifecell has donated UAH 40 million to the UNITED24 platform to support Ukraine’s national recovery efforts.
- “Hear Your Own” Radio Fundraising Campaign. In November 2023, lifecell partnered with the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation to raise funds for 100 sets of radios for Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
SUPPORTING CHILDREN ORPHANED BY WAR
As part of the “Our Children” project, lifecell provides monthly support totaling UAH 700,000 to children who have lost one or both parents due to the war. This initiative is implemented in partnership with the I Am the Future of Ukraine foundation and the Juvenile Police of Ukraine. lifecell joined the project at the end of 2024.
CORPORATE VOLUNTEERING
lifecell employees actively contribute to company-wide charitable efforts supporting the Armed Forces, wounded soldiers, and children affected by the war. In 2024 alone:29 liters of blood were collected during two Mobile Blood donation drives; UAH 146,000 was raised through staff participation in charity runs, fundraising fairs, and internal crowdfunding campaigns.
ENSURING ENERGY RESILIENCE OF THE NETWORK
A top priority for lifecell is maintaining uninterrupted mobile service during power outages. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, lifecell has invested approximately UAH 1 billion to strengthen the energy resilience of its network and is continuing to invest an additional UAH 500 million to ensure autonomous power supply for its base stations.
